What is Marmel.AI?
A platform where creators build audiences, fund, produce, and release video projects with transparent community support.
In short
Marmel.AI is an audience-building, crowdfunding, and publishing platform for video creators using traditional and AI-assisted workflows. Creators publish a clear project concept and choose a campaign type that matches their stage: build announcement and an audience, or raise funds to produce and release the work.
Supporters engage based on the campaign type. In audience campaigns, supporters subscribe to follow the project and receive updates. In funding campaigns, supporters contribute financially to help move the project forward.
Two campaign types
Funding campaigns are for creators who want to raise money for production. You set a campaign goal and pledges, and supporters can contribute to help you deliver the project.
Audience campaigns are for creators who want to build announcement with no funding involved. The main action is subscribing - supporters join as followers of the project, helping you validate demand, grow your audience, and prepare for potential future funding campaigns. No money is collected during an audience campaign.
For creators
Marmel.AI supports creators at different stages. You can start with an audience campaign to build announcement and subscribers, then launch a funding campaign when you’re ready to produce. This allows you to validate demand and grow momentum before collecting payments.
In funding campaigns, creators define a goal and a clear delivery plan. Payments are processed via Stripe Connect and deposited directly into the creator’s Stripe account, while Marmel.AI applies only its transparent platform commission.
Because campaigns may receive less than the full target amount, creators are encouraged to plan projects in modules (parts, chapters, or episodes) so meaningful progress and deliverables are possible even at smaller funding levels. Clear milestones, updates, and realistic timelines help keep supporters aligned throughout production.
For supporters
Supporters can participate in different ways. In audience campaigns, you subscribe to follow a project and help it grow without spending money.
In funding campaigns, your contribution supports production and is processed securely through Stripe into the creator’s Stripe account. Marmel.AI does not hold your funds. You are supporting creative work, not purchasing equity or financial returns.
A 1–2 week grace period applies after contributions. During this period, a transaction may be reversed if requested by the backer or if issues arise. After the grace period ends, creators are responsible for delivering what they described, and supporters can follow progress through updates and releases.
Audience campaigns: Building announcement
Audience campaigns let creators test ideas and build a following before committing to production or asking for money. The only action supporters take is subscribing. No payments, no pledges, no financial commitment.
This campaign type is ideal for early-stage projects where a creator wants to gauge interest, grow visibility, and collect an engaged audience. Subscribers receive updates and follow the project's journey, giving creators real signals about demand.
Audience campaigns can serve as a launchpad for future funding campaigns. Once you've validated your concept and built a subscriber base, you can transition to a funding campaign with confidence, knowing there's already an audience waiting to support your work.
Audience campaigns are also useful for creators in regions where payment processing (such as Stripe) is not yet available. You can still build your presence, attract followers, and prepare for funding when it becomes possible.
How funding works
To launch a funding campaign, creators onboard with Stripe Connect and create their own Stripe account. Supporter payments are processed through Stripe and deposited directly into the creator’s Stripe account. Marmel.AI does not hold, control, or access creator funds.
Campaigns are not dependent on reaching a single threshold to receive support. Contributions are processed as single payments rather than split payouts. For this reason, creators are encouraged to plan projects in modular or episodic formats and consider launching multiple campaigns for different parts or episodes of a project.
Platform limits apply to support responsible growth. For new creators, the maximum campaign goal is $10,000 and the maximum individual pledge is $1,000. Larger projects should be structured into multiple campaigns and released in stages.
Marmel.AI charges a transparent platform commission of 5% per transaction, which can be reduced to as low as 1% when a creator actively takes actions on the platform. All fees are shown transparently during checkout.
After a contribution is made, funds are subject to a 1–2 week grace period. During this period, Marmel.AI may reverse a transaction if a backer requests it or if issues arise, such as suspected fraud or Terms violations. After the grace period, funds are considered settled and available to the creator through Stripe.
