Campaign setup requirements
Creating a successful campaign starts with clarity and presentation. Your project title should be concise, memorable, and reflect the essence of what you're making. Choose a genre or theme that best describes the work and helps supporters understand the creative direction. Write a short description that summarizes the concept, tone, and goals of your project in just a few sentences.
Add strong visual media to bring your idea to life. This can include a teaser video, concept art, or a title image that captures the mood of your project. Visuals are often what convince potential supporters to click and explore further.
Next, define your campaign type - audience (announcement) or funding. For funding campaigns, set your funding goal and campaign duration. Create clear pledge tiers that describe what supporters receive for contributing at different levels. Each pledge should include a title, amount, optional quantity limit, and a short description or list of perks.
Finally, use the built-in story editor to present your project in more depth. This section is your space to pitch your vision, introduce yourself or your team, and explain how you'll deliver on your promises. Keep it concise, more of a compelling pitch than a full production diary, and make sure your tone stays authentic and personal.
Milestones and additional content
Milestones define your project's roadmap. Each milestone should include a title, short description, estimated time to complete (in weeks), and current status. These milestones help supporters understand your production plan and set expectations for delivery.
You can enrich your campaign by adding supporting media such as character sheets, concept sketches, location videos, or behind-the-scenes clips. These materials help supporters visualize your world and understand the scale and ambition of your work.
Include relevant links to your social media profiles, external articles, or other public references that provide additional context. You can also add a project FAQ to answer common supporter questions upfront. This builds trust and reduces uncertainty before people engage.
Before you publish
During setup, you can save your campaign as a draft at any time and return later to continue editing. Take advantage of this as rushing to publish often leads to avoidable mistakes.
Before publishing, review every part of your campaign carefully. Check that your titles, descriptions, and milestones are accurate; that all text is clear and typo-free; and that uploaded media displays correctly. Verify that any external links, references, and supporting materials work as intended.
Ensure that all media you include (videos, images, fonts, and music) is either original or properly licensed for commercial use. Content that infringes copyright will be removed and may result in account suspension.
- All required fields completed
- Title, description, and milestones reviewed for accuracy

Publishing your campaign
Once everything is finalized, publish your campaign to submit it for review. Your campaign will not be immediately visible to the public. It first enters a short moderation review period.
After publishing, creators move into production based on their defined milestones and delivery plan. Progress updates and milestone completion guide how work is delivered and communicated to supporters over time.
After your campaign goes live, only minor corrections may be made, and those must be processed through our support team to maintain transparency and trust with supporters.
Moderation review process
After you publish, your campaign enters a short review period before it becomes fully live. During this time, our moderation team assesses the project to ensure it meets platform standards.
This review serves several purposes: flagging content that may require age restrictions (18+), preventing malicious or deceptive campaigns, and filtering out very poor quality content that doesn't meet basic presentation standards. This protects both supporters and the integrity of the platform.
Reviews are conducted by real humans, not automated systems. While we aim to complete reviews promptly, typically within 24–48 hours, occasional delays may occur during high-volume periods.
Once your project is approved, you'll receive a notification. Your campaign will then go fully live: able to accept contributions (for funding campaigns) or subscriptions (for audience campaigns), appear in discovery, and potentially be featured on the main page.
- Human moderators assess your campaign for policy compliance
- Content is checked for quality and completeness
- 18+ content is flagged with appropriate age restrictions
- Misleading or deceptive campaigns are rejected
- You'll be notified once review is complete
- Approved campaigns go fully live and can appear in discovery
First-time publishing requirements
When you publish your first campaign, you'll be asked to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to better protect your account and prevent unauthorized access. 2FA is required before any campaign can be submitted for review.
Audience (announcement) campaigns do not involve collecting payments. For these campaigns, enabling 2FA is sufficient. No payment processor or financial verification is required.
If you publish a funding campaign, you'll be prompted to complete Stripe Connect onboarding. This creates your Stripe account where supporter contributions are deposited directly. During setup, you'll complete a standard KYC (Know Your Customer) or KYB (Know Your Business) verification process, as required by financial regulations.
Marmel.AI never holds or directly accesses creator funds. All contributions go straight to your verified Stripe account. The platform may initiate a transaction reversal during the applicable grace period if necessary. This structure ensures transparency, compliance, and trust between creators, supporters, and the platform.
Once your Stripe account is verified (for funding campaigns) and 2FA is active, you'll be able to publish campaigns and submit them for moderation review.
- All campaigns: 2FA enabled, all required fields completed
- Audience campaigns: No additional financial verification needed
- Funding campaigns: Stripe Connect onboarding and verification required
After approval
Once your campaign passes moderation review, it goes fully live. For funding campaigns, supporters can now contribute and their payments will be processed through Stripe into your account. For audience campaigns, supporters can subscribe to follow your project.
Your campaign becomes discoverable through search and category browsing. High-quality campaigns may be featured on the main page or in curated collections, increasing visibility.
Monitor your campaign dashboard for contributions, subscriber growth, and supporter messages. Engage with your audience through regular updates. Active communication builds trust and encourages ongoing support.
