Adult or sexually explicit material is not permitted, regardless of artistic intent or context. This includes nudity, pornographic content, or sexually suggestive imagery that goes beyond what would be considered acceptable in mainstream media. This applies equally to traditionally filmed and AI-generated content.

Hate speech, harassment, and content that promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic are banned. We have zero tolerance for threats, doxxing (publishing private information without consent), or any form of targeted harassment.

Illegal activities and fraudulent behavior are grounds for immediate account suspension and potential legal action. This includes promoting or facilitating crimes, money laundering, sale of prohibited goods, or deceptive practices such as misleading project descriptions, fake testimonials, or inflated funding goals with no intention of delivering.

Malware, phishing attempts, and any activity that interferes with the platform's operation or compromises user security are strictly forbidden. Intellectual property infringement, using copyrighted music, video, images, or other assets without proper authorization, is prohibited and can result in content removal and account termination.

These policies are designed to protect our community and ensure that Marmel.AI remains a trusted space for creative work. Violations are taken seriously, and we reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or take legal action as necessary. AI-specific content guidelines

AI-assisted filmmaking is welcome on Marmel.AI, but it comes with specific responsibilities. All content, whether traditionally produced or AI-generated, must comply with platform policies and applicable laws.

Using AI to generate likenesses of real people without their explicit consent is prohibited. This includes deepfakes, synthetic voices, or any content that could mislead viewers into believing a real person said or did something they didn't. Public figures are not exempt from this rule.

Content generated using AI tools must comply with those tools' terms of service. If an AI platform prohibits commercial use or specific content types, you may not use that output on Marmel.AI. You are responsible for understanding and following the terms of every tool in your workflow.

Be transparent with your supporters about your production methods. While you don't need to disclose every tool you use, misrepresenting fully AI-generated content as traditionally filmed footage, or vice versa, undermines trust and may be considered deceptive.

Reporting and moderation

If you encounter content that violates our policies or makes you feel unsafe, report it immediately. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action, which may include removing content, issuing warnings, or suspending accounts. We may also proactively review content to ensure compliance with platform standards and legal requirements.

When you report content, provide as much detail as possible: include links, screenshots, timestamps, and a clear description of the issue. This helps our team assess the situation accurately and take action faster. Reports are handled confidentially, and we do not disclose the identity of reporters unless required by law.

If your content is removed or your account is suspended, you'll receive an email explaining the reason and any steps you can take to appeal. We believe in transparency and fairness, and we're committed to making decisions that protect the community while respecting individual rights.

Infringement submission process

If you believe that content hosted on Marmel.AI infringes your intellectual property rights, you may submit an infringement notice to our support team via email. We handle all copyright and trademark claims in accordance with applicable law and our Terms of Service.

Your notice must include sufficient information for us to identify the allegedly infringing material and verify your ownership claim. This typically includes: (1) a detailed description of the copyrighted work or trademark you believe has been infringed, (2) the exact URL or location of the infringing material on Marmel.AI, (3) your contact information (name, address, phone number, and email), and (4) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

Once your report is received, our team will review it promptly. If the claim is valid, we may remove or restrict access to the reported material and notify the uploader. The uploader may have the opportunity to file a counter-notice if they believe the claim was made in error. We aim to resolve valid infringement reports quickly while maintaining fairness and transparency for all parties involved.

Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create and upload to Marmel.AI. We do not claim any rights to your original work, and you remain free to distribute, license, or monetize it elsewhere.

By uploading content to the platform, you grant Marmel.AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and promote your work as described in our Terms of Service. This license is necessary for platform operation: it allows us to store your videos on our servers, display them to users, share them on social media for promotional purposes, and distribute them through content delivery networks (CDNs) for optimal performance.

The license you grant is limited in scope and purpose. We will only use your content in ways that support the operation and promotion of the platform and your project. We won't sell your work to third parties or use it for unrelated commercial purposes without your explicit consent.

You can request removal of your content from the platform at any time, subject to certain limitations. If your content is tied to active campaigns, financial obligations, or legal requirements (such as compliance reporting or dispute resolution), we may need to retain it temporarily. Once those obligations are fulfilled, we'll honor your removal request.

Terms: License and Distribution Rights

AI-generated content ownership

Intellectual property rights for AI-generated content are an evolving legal area. Different jurisdictions and AI platforms have varying rules about ownership of AI outputs. As a creator, you are responsible for understanding how ownership applies to content generated with your chosen tools.

Some AI platforms grant full commercial rights to outputs generated by paying users. Others retain certain rights or impose restrictions. Before using AI-generated content in a funded project, verify that the tool's terms permit commercial use and public distribution.

Keep records of your AI generation process - prompts, settings, iterations, and the tools used. This documentation may be valuable if ownership questions arise later. When in doubt, consult the AI platform's terms of service or seek legal advice for significant projects.

Using third‑party assets

When incorporating third-party assets into your project, whether stock footage, music tracks, fonts, templates, or AI-generated content, you must ensure that you have proper licenses or permissions for their use. 'Proper' means the license explicitly covers commercial use, public distribution, and the specific platforms where you intend to share your work.

Personal or editorial licenses often do not permit the kind of public, monetized distribution that occurs on crowdfunding and streaming platforms. Read license terms carefully and upgrade to commercial licenses where necessary.

Keep detailed records of every asset you use. Save receipts, license certificates, download confirmations, and any correspondence with asset creators or licensing agencies. If your project becomes successful or attracts legal scrutiny, you may be asked to provide proof of your rights to use specific assets. Having a clear paper trail protects you from copyright claims and demonstrates professionalism.

Some licenses require attribution or credit to the original creator. If your license specifies that you must credit the author, include that credit in your project description, end credits, or a dedicated acknowledgments section. Failing to provide required attribution can be considered a breach of license terms, even if you paid for the asset.
